At Instant Giving Homecare, we believe that care isn’t just about physical health — it’s about emotional and mental well-being, too.
As we recognize May as Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to shed light on a topic that affects many of the clients and caregivers we serve: anxiety.
Anxiety is more common than most people realize, impacting over 40 million adults in the U.S. each year. The good news? Anxiety is manageable — and no one has to face it alone.
Here’s one simple calming tool we encourage anyone to try: the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique. This mindfulness exercise helps bring you back into the present moment by using your senses:
👀 Name 5 things you can see
✋🏾 Name 4 things you can touch
👂🏾 Name 3 things you can hear
👃🏾 Name 2 things you can smell
👅 Name 1 thing you can taste
At Instant Giving, our mission is to not only provide care — but to offer peace, purpose, and presence. Whether you're a client, a caregiver, or a loved one supporting someone in need, know this:Your mental health matters. Your story matters. You are not alone.
Let’s continue to support one another and normalize the conversation around mental health, especially in our caregiving and elderly communities.
💛 We care with a purpose.
